Garry Tan Launches Hosted GBrain

Garry Tan launched a hosted GBrain on gbrain.io on Oct 29, a $199 a month cloud memory any bot can plug into, alongside the free open-source version.
In his post on X, Garry Tan said to point your agent (Claude Code, Codex, Muse, Grok Bot, OpenClaw, Hermes) at it and get going fast. Hosted means Postgres with pgvector, autoscaling for you.
Quick Facts
- $199 a month per workspace, with $100 of AI credit a month.
- Set up from the terminal with gbrainio, or add https://gbrain.io/mcp to ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor.
- Bundled tools include Gmail, X, Perplexity, Exa, Firecrawl and fax, plus an activity log.
- The open-source GBrain stays free to self-host.
Our new guide, Hosted vs self-hosted GBrain, walks through setup and who should pick which. It pairs with using open source with your bots.
