What's New in Bots, Nov 4, 2026

Claude can now connect a team's apps the moment people log in, Perplexity Computer picked up plugins, and Anthropic's text watermark reached older Claude models, so here is what is new in bots.

Claude: apps that connect themselves

Anthropic says Claude users can now auto connect plugins when they log in, as long as the plugin's MCP server accepts Claude as a trusted issuer. It is for Team and Enterprise plans. An admin sets up a connector once in Organization settings, then Connectors, and members get it the first time they log in, with no sign in page or consent screen, per Anthropic's help article on auto connecting your organization's apps. The new Claude issued option is in beta and does not need an identity provider or SSO, since Claude matches people by email address. The beta covers 14 connectors, including Atlassian, Figma, HubSpot, Linear, Notion and Supabase.

One catch worth knowing: Claude checks only that someone is a current member of your organization, not SSO, MFA or the app's own sign in rules. And when someone leaves, access already granted lasts until it expires, so remove them from each app too. It fits right into our guide to setting up team bots, and it beats the old habit of pasting logins into a chat (please, no portal passwords in chat).

Claude: the watermark is official

Press reports said last week that Anthropic's text watermark would reach older Claude models on Nov 3. Now it is official. The Claude Platform release notes for Nov 3 say text from Claude Mythos 5, Claude Opus 4.7 and Claude Sonnet 4.6 now carries the watermark. Per the text watermark docs, it adds no tokens or hidden characters and carries no information about you or your organization. On Sonnet 4.6, setting temperature, top_p or top_k to a non default value might drop the mark, so leave all three out if you rely on it. Anthropic's article on how Claude marks AI generated content says the Amazon Bedrock rollout will finish by Nov 10.

Claude Code: know before you get signed out

Claude Code v2.1.318 landed last night. Per the Claude Code changelog, claude auth status now shows the date a stored claude.ai sign in ends, and claude -p prints a one line warning starting 10 days before it does. It also fixes jobs exiting with Not logged in when another terminal signs in to the same account. Small fixes with a big payoff if you run long running tasks, because a bot that quietly signs out is a bot that quietly stops.

Perplexity: plugins for Computer

Perplexity Computer now supports Agent Plugins, which package app connections and skills together. You can browse plugins or bring your own by importing one from GitHub or a .zip file, and Perplexity says they are compatible across other agents. CEO Aravind Srinivas says it lets you work a level above individual connectors. Before you import a plugin from GitHub, read the installer first and check the license before you install. (Perplexity's last update was in our Oct 31 roundup.)

Also new

OpenClaw posted v2026.11.5 beta 1 overnight, with Knowledge Scribes for capturing knowledge across agents and sessions, a PostgreSQL data plane, pull requests from chat, and safer backup and upgrade paths. It is a beta, so if you self host, pin your version and wait for the stable release, per our guide to using open source with your bots.

And Meta's Alexandr Wang says you can now make your Muse dance and share the clip to Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp. Not every update is about work. (We first covered Muse in our Oct 27 roundup.)
